This Privacy Policy explains how trackfeed ("trackfeed," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use trackfeed.io and related services (the "Service").

trackfeed is an unreleased music hub where artists upload tracks, leave timed remarks, follow other users, save collections, and message each other. By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

We collect information in the following categories:

• Account information — email address, display name, public @handle, password (hashed), profile details (bio, location, industry role), and optional social links.
• Content you provide — tracks and audio files, artwork, titles/metadata, remarks and tags, feed posts and replies, collections, messages, and similar uploads.
• Usage and engagement — plays, likes, reposts, follows, saves, remark votes, listening history, and reputation-related activity tied to your account.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, approximate location derived from IP, cookies/session identifiers, and log data needed to operate and secure the Service.
• Communications — messages you send through the Service and emails you send us (for example support requests).

We use information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Host and deliver your audio, artwork, and related media securely
• Power feeds, search, recommendations, reputation, and discovery features
• Send transactional email such as magic links and account notices
• Prevent abuse, spam, fraud, and unauthorized access
• Understand product usage and fix performance issues
• Comply with law and enforce our Terms

We may share information in these limited ways:

• Public by design — profile details you choose to show, READY tracks, remarks, feed activity, and similar content may be visible to other users of the Service.
• Service providers — infrastructure partners that help us host databases, object storage, email delivery, and compute. They process data on our instructions.
• Legal and safety — when required by law, or to protect trackfeed, our users, or the public from harm, fraud, or abuse.
• Business transfers — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information. Remark votes are private ballots — we expose aggregate scores, not who voted.

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, security, and remembering preferences. Essential cookies are required for the Service to function (for example keeping you signed in). You can control cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work if you disable them.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account or certain content
• Export a copy of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based

You can update much of your profile information in Account settings. You can also block users in messaging. To exercise privacy rights, or if you need help deleting content we don’t expose in-product, contact us using the details below.

We keep information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Draft uploads may be cleaned up automatically after a short period. When you delete content or your account, we remove or anonymize personal data within a reasonable time, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate safety/security reasons.

We use industry-standard measures appropriate to the nature of the data we process, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls, and private storage for original audio with time-limited access where applicable. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure — please use a strong unique password and keep your account credentials private.

The Service is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

trackfeed may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Those countries may have different data protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice (for example by email or an in-product message). Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
